The co-founders
Pockit is a family business founded and run by Danny Jatania and his sons which is why the company is grounded in strong personal values and community spirit.
Danny Jatania has worked for over 30 years in various management roles and as a board member in his family company Lornamead, which he co-founded with his brothers in 1978. He is a board member at the Institute of Family Business and is a member of the Audit Committee.
Virraj Jatania graduated from University College London whilst, his brother Yuvraj studied at the London School of Economics and is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. Between them they have spent time working at iconic financial institutions including Ernst & Young, Merrill Lynch and Barclays Wealth.
Danny and his family are keen philanthropists and between them have spent time on activities such as working in an orphanage in Malawi, and mentoring students at an inner-London school. This commitment to charitable causes has been reflected in the very essence of the Pockit business; 20 per cent of the business’ pre-tax profits are donated to charities of which 5% is going to Railway Children. The remaining 15% will be donated to selected charities.
